Raimon Panikkar

Raimon Panikkar, Raimon Panikkar, priest and philosopher, died on 26th August at the age of 91, at his home in Tavertet.

His death has caused great sorrow in the hearts of those who shared part of his path on this earth, a path which he dedicated entirely to the search for the Source in which his spirit now rests.

A private funeral was held at the church in Tavertet on Saturday, 29th August. A solemn mass for the repose of his spirit was celebrated at the Abbey of Montserrat on Friday, 3rd September at 5.00 p.m.

and half were scattered into the sacred waters of the River Ganges in Varanasi, according to the hindu rite.
